Poor service

I have precisely the same problem.

 It was fine when I was in contract, but having switched  to sim only, the service has got worse and worse to the point that I need to look at alternative  providers as it is barely functional.

a pity as I have been with EE for almost twenty years, but it seems it is time for a change…

A change of priceplan is just that, the radio network doesn't even know you've done so and thus is in no place to alter your coverage levels.

You've alluded to "the same problem" - your post has been moved to a new thread, so has no context. What is the service issue you're having?
