Can you explain more what you mean by "making calls which sounds like I have no connection"?

Is this affecting every call indiscriminately? Or only calls to certain recipients? Only mobiles or also landlines? Try some test calls if you're not sure, and please make a timed & dated note incase of having to log these with CS.

The online website tool has an option for reporting in-call audio problems at https://ee.co.uk/help/service-status > "check status" > "report a problem"

Hi @Discotek

Have you checked EE network status checker: https://ee.co.uk/help/service-status

  • Have you tried restarting your device.
  • Are you on EE PAYG or pay monthly contract.
  • Does this issue happen in more than one location.
  • Is this a WiFi calling issue or EE mobile network.

Thanks

Hi

Have re started device, on contract, been bad in all locations for at least a month, per connection in areas that I used to get great cover and when calling, just sounds dead, or out takes ages before I hear it calling?

Hi

When calling it seems like it's taking ages to connect, but if I hang up before I hear not connecting, I get call backs asking if I have tried to call them? Plus connection now is terrible,

FYI you have a short time to edit posts after submitting, avoiding the need for multiple short replies. Not sure what you mean by "connection now is terrible", there's no limit on how long your posts can be if the detail would help diagnose. Your mention of the problem being "in all locations for at least a month" would make me suspect this is more likely to be a phone fault than a network one. I would expect there to be a reasonable volume of customer complaints to have surfaced by now if this were a widespread network issue.

That said, it's not impossible - I'd recommend getting some timed & dated examples spread over a ~3 day period and report these to EE-CS for further investigation. I'd also recommend asking around friends & relatives who may use EE in your area, and see if they're having similar issues. Network issues should affect everyone who's using the same part of the network as yourself, whereas a phone fault will be more isolated.

Since I got it, had issues with calls, sometimes when calling all I hear is silence, but people know im calling.

sometime when people calling, they hear the ring tone but I don't get call.

I've merged your latest post with when you mentioned these issues back in February.

There were a few suggestions offered on 2nd Feb @ 10.48pm - how did you get on following those?

Hi @Discotek

It sounds like the issues you're experiencing are not how we'd expect the phone to respond.

There are a few things to consider when trying to get to the bottom of this-

The first step to try is restarting your device.

Are you able to test your SIM card in an alternative phone to see if it still happens? This will help rule out if it's a device issue.

Do you know if anyone else on EE is facing the same issue?

Does this happen only when you're in one area, or everywhere you go?

If so, you can check coverage and network status at Check mobile coverage where you can also report any issues you are facing, as well as sign up for updates on any known issues that may be going on.
