I have a Google Pixel 7, a few months old, purchased from John Lewis. I have an up to date SIM card. My plan is 12M SIM Essential Plan.
I don't get 5G even where I should. I am sure the phone is capable of getting 5G.
Is this a setting issue, or do I need to play more for an upgraded SIM plan please?

Hi @paulrcurtis
Thanks for coming back to the community.
Does the plan show as a 5G plan in your EE app?
Leanne.

Thanks @paulrcurtis
Just to check, are you in a 5G area?
Please enter the postcode into the EE Coverage & Network Status Checker to check.
Leanne 🙂

Thanks @paulrcurtis
Do you have service problems at this location or does this only show 4G?
Do you have 5G showing in any other 5G location?
Leanne.

@Katie_B Yes I am on the latest version, I live in an area where 5G is readily available.

I am not getting 5G anywhere. If I did, then I would know the problem was reception.

Thanks for confirming @paulrcurtis @KevinMD.
Have you been able to speak with our technical care team regarding this?
The team should be able to run some further tests.
Katie 🙂

Thanks @Katie_B , I did some months ago when I first noticed this. I didn't get the feeling they had the answer, but they sent me a new SIM which didn't help.
Perhaps I will contact them again, as the problem may be more common now and a solution known. Clearly, it isn't just me.
