Hi,
Is anyone else seeing poor signal / coverage with EE in Harrogate? I'm at work HG28QT inside but sat by the window and currently have between zero and 1 bar although the 5G logo is being displayed. running speedtest app I get 8.62 down, 0.91 mbps up. The EE coverage map says I should have much better than that.
is a mast down or something?
using a Samsung S21

Is this a recent problem? Sounds like you've used the "check coverage" option on the webtool rather than "check status" for a search against known outages.
I suspect you may be on the edge of 5G service and your phone is preferring that, to a stronger 4G layer. If so - this would be entirely by design.

the speedtest won't even run!
it was never this bad in the recent past
how do you check if a mast is off-line?

Try toggling flight mode if you're on 2G, see if this reconnects your phone to 4G/5G service.
Local faults can be checked via the "check service status" option on https://ee.co.uk/help/mobile-coverage-checker - with a follow-on option to "report a problem" if necessary.

Do you find that the signal improves if you move out of that area? @SteadyT
The network team will have a look into the problem report and get back to you as soon as they can.

It's still poor but different, that's to say at HG28QT now I have a 5G symbol and zero bars. In the middle of Harrogate town center I had 4G and 1 bar this morning.
Last night at home I did a speed test, in the past I've had fantastic speeds e.g. 80 -90 down. last night I got 5.37 down, 0.17 up
something has definitely changed in Harrogate

Thanks @SteadyT
Keep an eye out for a text or email from the network team with their findings.
If it does come back to say they haven't found anything, I'd recommend getting in touch with our tech guides so they can have a look into it further for you.

Hi,
I got an email from the network team saying they can find no issue in my {Home_Postcode}. I've just run another speed check in my home postcode and I'm getting 113 mbps down and 38.1 up which is fantastic.👍
The main issue thought, was at work HG28QT, could the network team do similar check's / actions for HG28QT please?
Many thanks
Steve

You can raise a report on the status webtool for any UK postcode where you believe there to be an issue.
