Hi,
Is anyone else seeing poor signal / coverage with EE in Harrogate? I'm at work HG28QT inside but sat by the window and currently have between zero and 1 bar although the 5G logo is being displayed. running speedtest app I get 8.62 down, 0.91 mbps up. The EE coverage map says I should have much better than that.
is a mast down or something?
using a Samsung S21

why don't EE just admit there is a mast issue in HG28QT
we all know there is, so why do they continue to say all is OK?!
I'm going to have to switch providers I think, only solution available to me it seems.
will get a PAYG sim first to check signal strength

it would be nice wouldn't it, just realised the text i got today said they checked a mast at a random postcode a few streets away, not my home or work postcode that i raised as the issue ( the mast that was checked does work fine, as its by M&S and i get full 4G, but im not connected to that one!)
Why cant they just listen to what people are saying, and properly investigate the issue!
we just need the soft works finishing at the mast on Hornbeam, like they first said was the issue - or whatever upgrade that were done a few weeks back to be un-done!
let me know how you get one, im currently running Vodafone in parallel, and its not much different indoors to be honest.

Out of interest, what's the eNB-ID of the site you're connected to? And which do you believe is causing the issue currently?
What are you referring to as "soft works"?

Hey bristolian,
what is "eNB-ID"?
The first 2 people i spoke to (both on separate calls) said i was connected to the mast on Hornbeam park by Hamblett house (150 meters from my work office, and 675 meters from my house as the crow flies), which had recently had the work done to it.
What they class as heavy work was completed but it is still waiting for the "soft works" to be competed with no notes or dates on when this will be. Soft works they said could be configuration or installing / upgrading something small - which is done by a different team to the heavy work. That's all they said.
The mast they have sent the engineer too today, is the one by M&S which i know does work, and not the one they've told me repeatedly i connect to both at home & work ( and everyone else in this thread on hornbeam park also connects too)
Hopefully this helps, but appreciate your support also

Some of your terminology intrigued me, but a conversation with CS agents is a good reason!
"eNB ID" is the identifier for an individual site that is used over the radio link. When a site goes through any significant antenna or equipment alterations, then rigging teams will do all the physical onsite build works. There's then a period of optimisation where remote teams will monitor post-upgrade performance - and may make minor changes to the radio config or flag potential issues.
Sounds like the site is in that phase currently.

How long is a piece of string!
Depending on the nature of what techs may have been added, it's not impossible for the entire traffic profile of a site to have changed. That can muddy the waters of what could be a fault versus what's just a change.
