Spoke to a lovely ee lady who helped me with my poor mobile coverage in Herefordshire,it turns out that 10 masts in my area only 1 is working the other 9 have engineer tickets with no update on completion at this point in time.

Hi there @rupert2014
Thanks for coming here 🙂
If you use our EE Coverage & Network Status Checker and select 'Check Status' you can register for updates on the area.
You may be able to use WiFi Calling to make and receive calls and texts over a WiFi connection. For information on who can use WiFi Calling and how to set up this service, please see our EE WiFi Calling: All you need to know, article.
Thanks.
Leanne.

I have some doubts that 90% of the network sites in a given area would be genuinely out-of-service, however without visibility of the faults data I can only surmise.
I would recommend using the network status checker as already suggested, which also comes with the facility to get updates on existing issues.
Is this poor coverage something that's recently started? Herefordshire is quite a large area, and there's more than 10 network sites in that county!! Is this problem specific to a smaller area within the shire?

Well I'm afraid it is true, some affected by hot weather, some awaiting components, some temporary fixed and have gone wrong again,as I don't have access to this data I can only repeat what ee personal informed me, she told me that unfortunately no tickets have been given finalised dates,I explained I don't mind waiting as I understand work loads and awaiting access to land etc,I was just shocked how many masts were down hope this helps.
