Anyone know why my 5g is not going full bar? The most im getting is 2 bars, when i never had this problem on my other phone. Ive always had an apple device, but is there a problem with certain devices? Ive seen several posts all having the same problems with signal yet the EE site says that the signal is 'good' in my area all the time when its not. Ive got a 5g mast literally 4mins away, but still i only have 1 bar, on the odd occasion i get 2 bars at a push. Even when im outside i still only get a maximum of 2 bars. Is this an issue with my phone, 15 pro, only had it since april? Or is it just EE is getting worse as this signal is shocking lately.....Thanks

@K4yl20 Do you have issues when using the device? Have you tried just switching off 5G and just using 4G ? Does this show a better signal strength?

All EE's sites are multi-technology, none are 5G-specific - all carry 4G as a base layer. What makes you certain the site near you is 5G-equipped?
There's nothing inherently wrong with "only" one bar, it's still a bar - different phones measure RF quality differently and can often display different bars for the exact same technology, band & carrier. Are you having any problems using your phone for calls, texts or mobile data?
You may well find that your phone is preferring a usable 4G carrier over a weaker 5G one, depending on the various radio parameters that form the basis of the on-screen bars.

Thank you for replying. Im not sure how to turn off 5g, but its wherever i go. When it changes automatically to 4g i dont have as many problems though like when i went chessington. Even now, my kids are both on EE, one gets 3-4 bars on a 13, and the other gets 2 bars on a 13. And before this one, i had the 13 pro and that had no signal problems either thats why i wondered if it could possibly be my phone

You've not mentioned what service problems you're actually having, or if this is just an issue of perception, but all that said..

A 2way-SIM swap is the best test.
Put a known-working SIM in your non-working phone... what result?

Thanks for your reply, i assumed it was a 5g area as i was getting 5g on my 13 pro and very rarely had signal problems unless the whole network was down. My mobile data does sometimes say safari is unable but not very often, but i do get alot of 'call failed' when im on call and if i move, like if im in the living room and move to the kitchen while im on call my phone will come up with call failed call back. Messages i dont seem to have issues with

So the issues are call drops? and slow/unusable data.
Sounds like you might be on the edge of a 5G layer, and be flip-flopping between that, and a stronger 4G carrier. That's by means of explanation rather than excuse, and should be investigated if you report it.
It's possible there could be a config issue on one of the sectors, and that's an easy check if you can provide some examples of dropped calls to CS.
