Calls going straight to voicemail

I am also finding this recently and when people are trying to call it’s going straight to voicemail and if I leave my phone go back on to it a lot of time it’s sitting at SOS until I then have to airplane mode on and off to get signal back it’s ridiculous.

If a phone is repeatedly dropping off coverage, restoring by toggling flight mode but subsequently losing service again - this suggests a phone fault. Doing a manual network search when coverage has been lost, would be an interesting test.
