Did you mean:

Call Quality ( receiver ) is poor & intermittent

Own a Redmi Note 12 pro plus : new EE sim ( previously Plusnet ). Several people that I have phoned recently stated that my line was very poor ( could hardly hear me, very broken & distorted ) although I could hear them perfectly well.

Note: coverage checker doesn't have my mobile phone within the database  - does anyone know why?

EE Technical support - how do you get through to somebody?

Any suggestions welcomed?

Thanks in advance

The online coverage checker holds a database of most EE-issued phones, to match that to which coverage layers to include in the predictions. Non-VoLTE devices can't use 4G800Mhz, only 5G-phones should predict 5G service where applicable, etc.

When you're using a non-EE-issued phone, you can safely choose the nearest equivalent. In terms of your call quality issues, does your phone show a VoLTE symbol next to your coverage indicators? If not, your calls could be being carried over 2G/3G and potentially go some way to explaining your issues.

Thanks

It's a 5G capable  phone and yes has the Vo indicator. I've switched to WiFi calling now to see if that changes anything? It did display 5G when on the network.
