5GEE Router - Slower speeds than Mobile

I recently got the 5GEE Router, unlimited package.
But I only seem to get maximum 20mbps down/up, whereas on my phone I manage to get 90mbps down/up.

Is there any way I can improve my speeds from my router without having to buy an antenna?

I am connected via Ethernet, and have also ran speed tests from another device connected by Wifi, both have the same speed. But if I disable wifi and use the mobile data on my phone, my speeds are much higher.

Thanks

Apparently Picture contains Personal Info, so can you amend and resend.

Ive just got back from work, and now my download speed is less than 2Mbps, while my RSRP and RSSI are lower? -80dBm -70dBm respectively. Above is the photo that my phone is connected too.

Hi @JakeH03

Thanks for coming here.

I would suggest reporting this to our tech gurus, they can get this looked into further for you.

Thanks @Leanne_T , I'm going to try an external antenna, as I understood i'm in a bit of a rough spot for coverage here anyway, if that doesnt have any success, I'll be sure to contact them.

Let me know how you get on @JakeH03

Leanne 🙂

@JakeH03  I'm out and about at the mo, but a  quick glance at your Netmonster confirms that your Sammy Phone is using a 5G Connection.

I will look into more detail later.

Sadly this wasnt the solution @Leanne_T I infact got lower speeds from an external antenna (possibly the one I used).

I think I'll be giving 150 a call later and hopefully get over to the tech team and see if they have any advice for me after work today.

Ah okay @EssexBoyEE Just interesting, because even if I set my router to 5G only, I do not get any better speeds, possibly just because of the distance from the mast, but i'm not 100% sure on the max range on the masts and how much interference there is around here.

Leanne.

Hi @Leanne_T just got in touch with a technician, sadly we didnt resolve the issue.
He ran me through some basic troubleshooting, resetting the router, running speed tests, changing settings ect.

Unfortunately he couldn't pursue it further as I couldn't put the sim card from the router into a different device, so I am still left my orginal issue.
