Please advise a date when 5G will be available on PAYG. Having been an EE customer for many years I recently purchased a new 5G enabled handset. I am shocked to find out that EE have still not enabled 5G in their PAYG plans. Come on EE, you shouldn't still be trying to force your loyal customers onto monthly contracts. I will give it a another couple of weeks then a move to "1pMobile" will be my solution.

@DJHarvey , you could have asked customer service and they would have been able to let you know whether on pay as you go you could get 5G, or whether it would soon be available.

Thank you for you post. I've just moved to EE in search of PAYG 5G, just to be disappointed. Doubly so by seeing the OP date.
Looks like I'll be ordering a SIM from 1pMobile myself.
Cheers, from a sad 4g connected phone.

It's a disgrace the way EE treats it's loyal customers. Currently no 5g signal where I live otherwise I'd be gone. 🤬

Unlikely that the existing EE subscription packs will have 5G speeds any time soon, as those subscriptions currently have a 25 Mbps speed limit. (Maybe once the 3G has been all decommissioned?!)
Though, Vodafone have recently launched a, pay as you go plus, with 5G speeds.

Just got home from Gibraltar where my mobile was running 5G from EE all the time. Why are EE in the UK still screwing their loyal customers. 😡

@XiaomiAnnie are you on pay as you go or contract? If on contract, then you will have 5G, but quite frankly, unless you have 5G phone, then you will only get 4G, there are plenty, who still only have 3G or 4G phones, 4G works ok, I should know, as I am often in an area where there is no 5G, and 5G is still not everywhere. I am sure that at some point, pay as you go will also get 5G, that is the perk that contract customers get first and eventually pay as you go will get, you would have to ask EE to see when you will get it, we would not know here in the forum.

@XiaomiAnnie you wasn’t connected to EE in Gibraltar. You was connected to a roaming network.

Look at the subject of this thread, it is for PAYG customers 🤔
