We are aware of a signal issue that is affecting some of our customers in the Kidderminster area. The lease agreement for the mast has expired and the equipment had to be removed at the beginning of October 2026.
Our engineers have been looking for a new location for a permanent mast in the area. We're working with the site provider to arrange a date to access the area and complete surveys needed to make sure the area will be suitable for the equipment. Pending a positive outcome from the surveys, we can start legal steps to legally acquire the land from the site provider.
We will keep you updated on this post.
We’re sorry for any inconvenience caused. In the meantime, you may be able to use WiFi Calling to make and receive calls and texts over a WiFi connection.
For information on who can use WiFi Calling and how to set up this service, please see our Using WiFi Calling, Help page.

I understand that the mast been removed because the lease has expired also I was told there was damage to the cable or unit..over the month or so.what I don't understand that you know the lease was going to expired why it was not sorted before it had expired and leave customers with the problem having very bad signal etc we all pay good money for the service which has been great but still paying I hope this is sorted very quickly to leave customers with bad signal not very good thanks 🙏 Steve

When is this likely to be sorted as I have no signal at all at home? I can’t make or receive calls even with WiFi calling!! I may switch networks if this continues

Perhaps get some help with that then. You never know when or where WiFi calling might come in handy.

Forward planning…the lease end must have been known so why did EE not have plans in place well before the end of the lease so a seamless change over would take place?
Users pay good money for a service.
Will users get a refund ?

If only it were so simple....

I take it people affected in the Kidderminster area will have a reduced bill then as we are paying for a service that isn’t being provided ? I’m paying for 3 contracts that work only on WiFi or if we’re nowhere near home. Look forward to your reply and a resolution.

It’s the mast that was all over the news they knew it would come to an end but still decided to fail customers and leave us without service. It also took 6 weeks to erect it and get it up and running so considering they haven’t got a place to put one I’d imagine this isn’t going to be fixed anytime soon maybe Christmas ?
