Does my screenshot not show above where I am showing it in my phone settings.
Maybe the iP14 Pro Max isn’t compatible.

Iphone 13 to 16 are compatible
5G standalone security and privacy requirements
To help ensure compatibility of iPhone and cellular iPad devices on private 5G SA networks, infrastructure vendors must adhere to the following security and privacy requirements:
Privacy concealment: The Subscription Concealed Identifier (SUCI) must use a non-null protection scheme. This can be achieved through either an on-SIM SUCI calculation or an ME SUCI calculation, as outlined in TCA 2.3.1 and 3.1 specifications. For detailed information, refer to the 3GPP Technical Specification 33.501.
User data confidentiality: To safeguard user data from unauthorised access, the use of null-ciphering isn’t supported.
Non Access Stratum/Radio Resource Control signalling confidentiality and integrity: To prevent unauthorised access and interception, and prevent unauthorised tampering or modifications during transmission.
5G Standalone is supported on the following devices:
All iPhone 15 models All iPhone 14 models iPad Pro 13-inch and 11-inch (M4) models iPad Air 13-inch and 11-inch (M2) models iPad Pro 12.9-inch (6th generation) iPad Pro 11-inch (4th generation) |
|
All iPhone 13 models iPhone SE (3rd generation) iPad Air (5th generation) iPad mini (6th generation iPad (10th generation) |

Just wanted to jump in and confirm that updating to the iOS 18 Public Beta + "Replace my eSIM" in the EE app settings enabled the "5G Standalone" toggle on my iPhone 15 Pro Max. I was on iOS 17 earlier today and the toggle didn't show up at all. My original eSIM that came this morning had the 5G SA toggle disabled, but as soon as I downloaded and activated the replacement eSIM, 5G SA was toggled on!
So if you have an iPhone, you definitely need:
- iOS 18
- One of the new Full Works or All Rounder PAYM plans.
- If "5G Standalone" is greyed out, go to "Replace my eSIM" in the EE app settings, follow the activation process, and then delete your original eSIM.

@Colstalex- you can actually get the full version now. iOS 18.0 RC (Release Candidate) is the same version that will be released on Monday.
Just switch on the Pblic Beta switch, and install the latest offering. It should be called iOS 18.0 (with no 'beta' in the name). I've been running it since it was released on Monday.

As per other comments, for 5G SA to show, you need iOS 18.0 (use the RC instead of waiting until Monday). one of the new plans, and an updated/new SIM or eSIM.
Can confirm that my 5G SA is in operation:
