Hello,
I need to connect to a VPN (Global Protect) on my laptop to connect to my work documents. A few months ago, I used to be able to use mobile hotspot on my phone and it would work fine. However, the VPN no longer connects - the internet continues to works fine on the laptop when connected to my mobile.
I understand EE have never supported VPN connections but they are now apparently actively blocking more. This is unacceptable and unfair. If I am unable to resolve the issue, I will need to change mobile networks.
Has anyone been able to resolve this issue?

The EE SIM.
You need to either (1) force the EE SIM card to connect per what I posted on 19-09-2023 05:03 PM on another device (where you can change the settings, or (2) on the existing device use a SIM card from a different company which does not cause these issues.

thanks @Joeclegg - can I just check - how will changing an APN on my mobile phone make a difference when I connect via a Corporate laptop. My connection via mobile phone is fine - it's just the Global Protect on my Corporate device which isnt liking the EE config ?

Completely agree, I pay a lot to EE it used to work, but now it’s completely block.
When I’m mobile it will continuously try to connect to 4G / 5G via the VPN app any of them all different versions too. But EE have locked it down and preferred to suck up to the governments approach rather than customer’s privacy. BYOD useless if you can’t use a VPN
