Hi, I have an issue when connecting to an ee wifi hotspot. So when I’m out, in a bad dead zone and I see ee wifi. I connect to this, state that I’m a BT broadband customer , put in my password but then it wants to send me a code either via text or email. My issue is this, why I’m trying to connect through the hotspot, is because I have no signal, so how can I receive a text/email. Can I turn this function off? The BT wifi app didn’t have this issue. Thanks

Hi @Lardenr
Are you eligible and is the site genuine as it may not be: https://ee.co.uk/help/mobile/manage-use/using-phone-features/how-do-i-access-wifi-coverage-boost
I don't remember the need for a text but the simple answer is you cannot if you receive zero signal but this is rare.
Thanks

Hi, thanks for the reply, yes it’s a genuine site, when I connect to the hotspot this is the site it comes up with. Used it before, and it fine as long as you have a signal to receive the text with. But recently been on a holiday where the signal is very bad we are on 02 at the moment with our mobile provider, but will move to EE for that next year.
