Text offering me double data

Hi I’ve had a text from 1122 offering me double data for free as I’m a bt and ee customer. This would be very helpful - but is the text message legitimate? Or is it a scam? Thanks 😊

If you have had a text message to let you know you are eligible for double data for being an EE and BT customer and details with getting set up, this would be added free of charge.

I received the same message today and I have replied DOUBLE twice and nothing has happened for me? 

How long doe's it take?

Any ideas?

I have now tried a third time with wifi off and mobile 4G data on and still nothing

Mine was added immediately. Bit sceptical at first but no scam 100% spot on.  Now share with my wife.

Thank you. I will contact customer care, as I have tried a fourth time and still nothing, very strange!
