Text offering me double data

Hi I’ve had a text from 1122 offering me double data for free as I’m a bt and ee customer. This would be very helpful - but is the text message legitimate? Or is it a scam? Thanks 😊

Really? Because I tried and it told me I couldn't reply to that number.

What is the full error message you see when trying to reply to the message?

Phone them direct 150 and they will set it up for you

Just had the same query and after reading the responses here I did reply. Got a message back from EE immediately after, can’t see it showing on my app yet but will check after my next bill. So it looks genuine. 👌🏻

Hi I have an ee mobile and a sky broadband account, I've received the double data text from 1122, does this qualify.

Hi James, I'm also nervous about clicking on an unsolicited text message. Surely if I am elegible for 'double data' (whatever that is) you could make the necessary changes to my account automatically, without me clicking on something? You are surely as aware as I am that I am a customer of BT and EE?

If you are unsure on a text, it's always best to check if it is legit first. 

Has your text also come from 1122?
