Sharing data

Morning, so yesterday I shared 40gb of data with one line that my daughter uses as she only has 5 gb. I then actually found a decent upgrade sim only for her and she now has 150gb plus extra so a total of 180gb. All our plans are data sharing but when I try using her account to share to give back my 40gb it says she has no one to give it too. It’s the same with the other line my husband uses, he can give to her line but not to anyone else. How can we resolve this. 

in the first instance I just want my 40bg back now she has enough data on the upgrade. And secondly why can’t we get data from her, or between my husbands line and myself. If we all have data sharing we should be able to gift each other that was the whole point of making sure we have that in the contracts. Thanks

@Mrsbrown13   As your daughter is on your account you can do this via your account.   You just select her number to gift from and your number to gift too.

I know how to data share and have tried but as I said it doesn’t give the option to share her data to myself or even my husband. And we can only gift her data. Is there another way to get the 40gb back in my account. But in the future I’d like it resolved so we can all share our data to each other if required.

I suspect that, by changing price-plan on your daughter's line, the gifted data has probably been lost by virtue of association with the old plan.

Is your daughter's new plan, a No Frills one? Those don't allow data sharing.

It’s a no frills yes or essential, I can’t remember which but I made sure it said data sharing. 

if I call ee or go on chat can they give back the 40gb?

What plans are you and your husband on?

The fact there's 100GB to gift implies it is either a 100GB plan or an Unlimited plan that you have.

With Unlimited plans, you can gift data to other numbers (up to your first 100GB of allowance) but can't receive data by gifting.
