App says network is perfect but it is clearly not considering it takes an age to load. Fed up with it

Does this happen in one location? if yes, have you been able to check your area for any known issues?

You can do this by using the Network Status Checker

@Louise4th  Have you tried restarting the device?      What is taking an age to load ?  and have you tried clearing your browser history and cookies ?

What do you mean by age? Remember connection is only as fast as the connection on the other end.
