My phone hot spot connection will not work with FTP file transfer protocol since EE changed the IPv4 to 6 so they are forcing me to buy a Wi Fi dongle for my work

@Bernard1936 EE have been using IPV6 for quite some time and you’ve now only just started having issues.
Perhaps updating the receiving end to except ipv6 being the newest protocol should be an option looked at.

I think you are right Chris but my software is old now and does not have a updates, so it would mean buying or renting photo mechanic which is where the ftp is built into

So it would be cheaper to get a Wi Fi dongle as long as I can give it date from my iPhone as I get 150g a month

I think that is above my head APN settings don’t really know what this is to be honest

@XRaySpeX That’s not possible directly on an iPhone. You don’t have APN access on it.
You can create a custom profile with a Mac and install it on a iPhone. But this is beyond the scope of the average user.

They're just settings on your mobile phone. Find them under Connections > Mobile Network > APN.

@XRaySpeX Not on a iPhone. Android phones you have this option on a iPhone you don’t need it. I can put any network sim in a iPhone and it’ll work with data without charging anything on it and an android device you have to change that APN setting to use data for that network sim
