My 25gb of data renewed on the 4th September and has almost immediately gone down to 6.24GB remaining. The same seemed to happen last month with the same (6.24gb) figure appearing back then? How can I actually see a breakdown of usage?

Your device might have data usage counters on it that you can keep your eye on & maybe even sync with your EE billing period.
