I have a reoccurring problem when I cannot gift data, the app does not work and I cannot gift on the website (desktop or mobile). I am on the verge of leaving EE as i've spent literally days speaking to them and nobody seems to be able to tell me why or offer a fix.

Brilliant, another queue due to the fault of the provider, but it's the customer that has to waste their time.
I thought the reason we pay more for EE is due to their so called better customer care?

I have the same thing. Happens regularly. I have 5 lines with EE and will look to leave if things not corrected.

Has anyone managed to resolved this problem yet? No EE technician could help me with any resolutions.
I have the exact problem that started 3 months ago.

I never got anywhere with it and unfortunately had to go to a different provider.

What happens when you try to gift data?
Have you tried using the EE App and EE Account online?

Hi @bascoine I can imagine it's frustrating when you need to gift data but you can't.
We'd need to look into your account to check that you have plans which are compatible with gifting data.
I'd recommend giving us a call on 150 from your EE device.

I know how handy it is to have data gifting.
Do you see an error when you try to gift data?
Does the same thing happen in the app and the website?
Have you tried to delete the app and install again to see if that helps?
