I’m having a issue with both my iphone and iPad data
I cannot send a email using mobile data, it works fine on Wi-Fi, I can use mobile data to receive email ok, and web browsing etc.
I have put a 02 sim into my phone and it works perfectly sending emails, I have deleted my email account reloaded it on both my phone and iPad, and also loaded my email account onto another phone that’s on 02 and it all works fine so it’s not our email server.
I’ve looked on line and is there an issue using smtp port 25 (which is in my settings also), nothing has changed and it all used to work?
Thanks for any advice

What is the actual error msg that your mail client is reporting back for the various ports?

There’s no error message, it just says “verifying” with a spinning wheel, and sits there, left it for 2 hours with no change, so closed the settings app to stop it. A couple of colleagues have the same problem now, we are waiting for EE to come back to us

Did you ever manage to sort this as my husband is having same problem in his phone - my phone is exactly the same as his and set up for his business emails and works one mine
only difference I have a separate hotmail email set up as well but when speaking to Apple for 5 hours that wouldn’t make a difference!! 😫😫

Hi, no I never got it sorted, EE no help at all, still trying to solve it. All I’m doing at the moment is using my personal phone on O2 to create a WiFi hotspot and connect my other phone/iPad to that just to send emails, it’s crazy. If you get anywhere please let me know. Thanks.

My phone does exactly the same and has done so for a number of months. The problem started without me changing anything. It affected my old phone and a new one. EE seem to just want to just say it isn't their problem. The solution would seem to be to go to O2?
It would be good if somebody at EE could actually look into this!

Hello @BA365.
Welcome to the EE Community.
Are you able to make calls and texts OK?
What happens when you try to send an email?
Are you using an app?

Calls and texts ok on WIFI and mobile data. This is an issue with sending email on mobile data only.
Along with seemingly many others customers - this problem started a number of months ago (without me changing anything). I initially thought it was my very old phone playing up. but a brand new phone was just the same.
This is an EE issue, EE changed something to do with sending emails! but now refuse to investigate as a third party Samsung app is involved. What a cop out!
An O2 SIM works properly with no problem - so I am moving provider!
