SkyQ won’t connect to my EE4G router

I have an EE4G router and can’t get it to connect to my SkyQ box. When I search for networks then only the 2.4ghz network is visible. I try to connect to that network and it appears initially to work but then it shows connected for about 5-10 seconds then disconnected for a few seconds and then connected for 5-10 seconds and so on. This goes on continuously and it won’t stay connected This means no on demand services or downloading will work. Everything else I have connected to the EE router throughout the house works with no problems. I’ve even tried hard wiring the Q box directly to the router and it still does the same. Has anybody seen this before?

@Frogzelda, pretty much All Cellular Modems will work with the original DUN for ISDN / Mobile Packet Switch Network, so using the basic Number *99# should work for you.

In the unlikely event you are using a Dongle or a MiFi Device which is connected via a PC / Laptop which has its own Windows Dashboard Software, ie, remote DUN then you may have to use the number *99***1#, or if the PC or DUN Service is using an Additional VPN or Plus 1 Remote then try *99***2#.

But in most cases stick with the basic *99#

Lots of suggestions on here as to how to fix.

Unfortunately it doesn't help we over 80's who are not technofreaks.

I'm not thick, but it needs to be simplified .

I will have to call EE to help me out.

If you are having connection issues with your SkyQ box & you are using an EE hub on a fibre connection then set up "Compatible WiFi" on your router. I did this after a week of SkyQ box randomly disconnecting from WiFi. It hasn't dropped connection since. SkyQ is now a happy bunny!
