Hi

I have a couple of questions about the 5G Wifi dongle (https://ee.co.uk/shop/broadband/add-pay-monthly-mobile-broadband-gallery/5g-wifi-details?color=White)

1. can I power it with a 12v battery?

2. does it also pick up 4G signals if there's no 5G?

Many thanks

Your link does not lead anywhere other than to general mobiles. The mobile BB page seems missing. The nearest I can find is EE Mobile Broadband | 4G & 5G Broadband & Wifi | EE but it doesn't show individual routers.

  1. I'm not sure. If it's the 5G WiFi router it's battery powered & meant to charged thro' its USB. If it's the 5G Home Router it's mains powered.
  2. Yes.

Thanks for getting back and sorry about the link, it only works when I'm logged in.

This is the one I meant:

https://ee.co.uk/broadband/pay-monthly-mobile-broadband-gallery/5g-wifi-details

It has a USB-C connector which I assume goes to the power supply?

Cheers

It goes to some sort of USB charger, e.g. a PC. It doesn't come with with a power supply. It is internal battery-powered.
