Hi, I changed the ownership to my name last week, it was previously on my fathers name. I was told when I changed that I would be able to change to a new plan after a week. But, I just called and they told me that even though my plan ends next month, I cannot change my plan until November the 27, because I have to "build up credit". I wanted to know if I have the right to change my plan, so I appretiate any advice you can give me.

Hello @josemdsg13 ,
You do need to build up your credit first and EE need to see that you will continue to pay your monthly fee, before changing your plan. You have only changed ownership from your father, so that is why they need to see a good credit from you.
The only way is to discuss this with customer service, as it will also depend on your credit score.

Hi @josemdsg13
If you have no credit then that sounds right especially if you also want a handset as you're entering into a credit agreement.
Once your plan has ended you should still be able to cancel.
Thanks

@josemdsg13 A change of ownership does result in not being able to upgrade for 3 months. Always best to upgrade first give it a month then have a change of ownership. EE now just want to make sure you’ll keep paying each month as your a new customer.
