Anyone know a solution to this? We've been waiting for our broadband to be connected due to an OpenReach issue so I bought one of the EE mobile internet boxes.
This has been fine until about a week ago when you stopped being able to top up data on the app. After a few hours trying to get hold of support, I gave up and signed up for a contract. That contract has expired so I tried the data top up again and that page is still down - I added a new contract but it doesn't update until you activate it by texting 150, which I cannot do because it's just a box and I don't have a phone that will take the sim.
Short of buying a new phone yo add the broadband sim in juts to text the number, does anyone else know a way to activate this contract? You can't do it from the app or the website.

You can Receive and Send Texts (SMS) on Mobile Routers, you just need to go into the Admin Section on the Routers Web UI and find the SMS Settings Area, follow the procedure that came with the Router, Admin and User Passwords should be on the Box, Keep me Card or on a Label behind the Router or Battery Cover.

Hi @EssexBoyEE
Thanks for coming here.
The SIM card should be activated, what happens when you connect a device and try and access the internet?

Try using Fast Top Up online with a UK bank card. You don't need to login or register anything. All you need is your mobile no. & it doesn't remember your card details.
