Local Hotspot Refuses Password Half the Time

I"ve paid for 30 days to connect to a local hotspot.

I use my android phone and windows laptop and I have Roboform for all my passwords. It works most of the time but disconnects every 20 or so minutes so I have to log back in over and over again on both devices even though my laptop location never changes.

Other issue is that it tells me my login information is not correct despite the fact it is 100% correct as it's stored by Roboform and works usually. This happens on both my mobile phone and laptop. It starts working again maybe next day.

I've rebooted, tried Edge, Chrome, Brave browsers, cleared cookies etc but the problems continues. It didn't work last night but is working this morning.

Regards

Paul

Hi @howtonetwork

WiFi hotspots tend to disconnect if there is no activity for 15-20 mins.

The password issue could be depending on traffic and attempts to log in.

Thanks

no. I'm online all day working and it happens in the middle of online tasks.

It can't be traffic if one device connects but the other doesn't.

Do you have the same issue with other hotspots? Do other phones/tablets have the same issue with this hotspot?

I work from home so don't use other hotspots. My family are here and we all have the same intermittent issue with ipads, phones, ipones and laptops. Thrown off every few minutes despite not moving from the same place in the house and refused to log back in saying wrong username and password when the correct one is saved.

I'd recommend getting in touch with our hotspot team about this so they can look into it. You can see how to contact them here Contact us | Find WiFi hotspots | EE WiFi.
