I have a EE Smart Hub at home and now I can’t connect my AppleTv box to the wifi. I have checked with Apple support to rule out any problems with the Apple TV box or TV (I can connect to Apple TV when using my iPhone hotspot), so the problem is with my broadband / wifi settings. I can select the WiFi on Apple TV but then see a message saying the WiFi Password is incorrect, but there is no way change or enter a password on Apple TV. The Apple support person says it’s a setting on the EE WIFI. Any advice? Thanks

Sometimes older or weaker devices may not be compatible with the default WiFi settings of EE Smart Hubs with their WPA3 Security. Try setting up Compatible WiFi on the router under Advanced > Wireless Settings > Config > Compatible WiFi (it defaults to 2.4 GHz only & WPA2) & connect your problematic 2.4 GHz or WPA2 devices to that. It presents itself as a separate network SSID of the form "MainSSID-Comp".
It may be that the router's default WPA3 vs. the TV's WPA2 is behind the "wrong pwd" issue.

@RKDAVIES22 Do not understand what you have posted, are you saying the Apple TV was connected by wifi to the EE Hub before but now it is not working as you cannot enter a password which is real strange that way for apple.
Can you connect the Apple box to the EE Hub by Ethernet?

Hi, thanks for your message, I think this may be the issue.
Where do I set up the Compatible Wifi, i.e. wjere do I find "Advanced > Wireless Settings...."? On which app or menu?
thanks

Hi,
Thanks for your message. My Apple TV was connected by wifi to my old EE Hub before but now it is not working as the AppleTV thinks the password is incorrect, but AppleTV does not offer any option to change the Wifi password or to Forget the old Wifi either, so I am stuck. Apple support suggsted it is to do with the wifi/router settings so I will see if I can change those (as per advice in the other post I recieved).
I can also try to connect via ethernet if that doesn't work.
thanks

Login to your EE Smart Hub/Router at http://192.168.1.254 with the admin password on the bottom of the slider label on the back of the router. Then on the Advanced > Advanced Wireless page you should be able to see your WiFi settings & change them.
