I have a 4g portable router. I just wanted a new router.

The customer service woman was lovely said no problem. free upgrade new router no cost! let me put u through to a moron in technical. He was hopeless and blindly expected me to go up to £45 a month just for a router.

I MIGHT have been a moron too. I bought a  EE 4G LGT mini mobile hotspot. cos it was dirt cheap. 

Would it work with a data sim card unlimited problem solved. or are the data only on prepaid and top up. 

I may have time to cancel he is slow to post and go the £30 EE4G portable routers on ebay.  I am not paying £23 extra  a month just for a router. he said u cant have one and EE dont sell them.

@smallville19791   EE don’t give things away unless it’s with a contract for a set amount of time.   You’re not just purchasing the mobile router you’re also paying for the data allowance per month. 

Out of interest what router was it. ?

I got the 4g portable anyways off amazon for £30. also bought the wrong one. a wired box. They cant even just send a second dual data sim. its a code. so stuck today. oh and just saw this. Cos they didnt send an email or tell me a notification. just made a new post.

The old 4g portable router broke. Been at it for weeks to get a good portable router to use on firecube and zoom. Got wrong one again. The mini hub was overloaded and going back. The original old router sim slot broke. can it be fixed in a shop? the sim doesnt stay in or can u link up or send specs on the right portable 4 /5 g router pls?

Can u recommend the old one please. or a way to fix the sim card slot. it pops out?
