I haven’t changed anything, but noticed my connection the past couple of days has been iffy..so contacted via Ethernet cable instead of wifi and since then it literally won’t connect to the internet..the lights are on the router and will let me connect to the Wi-Fi,yet no internet connection..any help would be great…I have done a factory reset and still nothing…uninstalled driver and re install etc..flushed dns all potential soloutions I found on the net but still no luck.

Welcome to EE's Home Broadband Forum.

Have you just joined EE BB or were you already with EE BB?

What does it say after you log into the router:

  • For a BrightBox: in the Internet section on the initial Status page or
  • For a Smart Hub: on the Advanced Settings > Broadband > Internet page?

Obscure your names & any digits in the BB Username but post the 1st 2 parts of the (Broadband) IP address. This might tell us at which stage EE have got to.

Is this for ADSL BB or Fibre? Which router, BrightBox 1 or 2 or Smart Hub?

Does the landline phone work? Do you get a dial tone? Does it announce your correct no. when you dial 1470 17070?

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

Hi ray, thank you for the reply…I’m on the 4gee router..has been running fine the past few months up until a week ago..I was using wifi..so tried to hardwire to get a better connection..but wasn’t successful, so went to go back to putting it on WiFi and since then it connects but says there’s no internet “no valid IP adress”..iv attached a picture not sure if it’s any good as I’m not the most techy person

I'm also having this issue, have you got any responses that aren't cop out copy paste messages?

Hi @Kieran0099

Which router are you using?

Have you tried a factory reset to see if this helps?

Thanks 🙂

Leanne.
