Can't buy a data add on for EE Dongle

Hi,

I have an EE Wifi Dongle that has run out of data. I have managed to add £20 to my account but when I try and buy a data add on, it goes to an error page that just says "ADD ONS PURCHASE ERROR".

I am trying to buy add it from my O2 Phone as the dongle doesn't have any data left. I don't have a phone number for it and I've tried various things mentioned in the forums previously and nothing works.

I haven't bought data for it for a while but usually I just buy it on my O2 phone and it works instantly.

Thanks in advance for your help.

@MinnieMouse8 : The "Addons Purchase Error" is a known bug being investigated. Instead visit http://add-on.ee.co.uk/purchase from a device connected to your mobile router by WiFi to see what data add-ons are available.

Hi,

I can't get to any of those pages. It just says hmm, we having trouble finding that  site (server not found). I can get to http://4gee.wifi/pc/index.html#/index

But if I click through to http://add-on.ee.co.uk/mbbstatus it says exactly the same.

I just want my £20 back. I needed connnectivity for a meeting this morning and had to go to a coffee shop instead and have wasted HOURS trying to get this to work.

(I know it isn't your personal fault!).

That 1st link you give is just into your router & won't give you the ability to buy data. The link I gave works from here. Is your O2 mobile connected to your router by WiFi & not just connected to O2's mobile network?

No, because where I am again now doesn't have wifi which is why I am trying to top up my wifi, so I have wifi.

Are you saying I need to be connected to a wifi to buy wifi? If so, I'll have to wait until I am back where there is wifi.

You do have WiFi! You said you had a EE WiFi dongle. That's the one you need to connect to by WiFi in order to buy it data using the link I gave you.

When I am connecting to the dongle I get an error on every link I have tried including the one you gave. That was my first reply. If my phone OR laptop is connected to the ee dongle I am trying to get the add on for, i get an error messages. Even on the links that are supposed to be ok "offline".
