Billing account number

Hello!

I was trying to link my mobile broadband (5G hub) to my account so that I could see bills, check my payment methods etc from this page: https://mybroadbandaccount.ee.co.uk/b2cselfcare/b2c/self-claim-role?execution=e2s1

...but I get this error when I put it the account number taken from my correspondence (asterisks intentional, it's the same error I get with the actual digits):

Any idea what's happening?

Thanks

@dlab : You don't need a billing account number for linking a mobile router to your EE a/c; that's for fixed BB. Nor do you try to add it as Home BB. You just need its mobile no. & you link it as a mobile

Mobile routers contain a SIM. All SIMs have a mobile no. Visit http://add-on.ee.co.uk/status from a device connected to your mobile router by WiFi to see your data & credit status as well as its mobile no. at the top.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP

Hi @dlab

Thanks for coming here.

Did you find your billing account number from your EE bill?

Katie

Hi @Katie_B,

Yes, both from the EE bill and the confirmation email when I first set everything up (the numbers match, of course).

Thank you @XRaySpeX.

Apparently they send you an SMS with a code when you try and link a SIM, but that SMS never appears in the inbox (I double-checked the number a million times). I am sure everything will work when I try again tomorrow...

Your mobile router should be receiving the verification texts sent by the EE a/c.

Thanks! You're welcome 🙂 ! Glad I could be of assistance & trust it is now sorted.

I have linked my Mobile BB SIM/Mobile Number, but the Bill still do not show in my portal, I can see the linked service, but when I click on "show Bill" it goes back and asks me to "Link my product" again..?

Hi @FAnder,

Thanks for visiting the EE Community

Have you tried accessing your bill both via the app and the EE website?

If you try accessing the Bills and Payments page first can you see the bill summary there with the option to view your full mobile bill?

In app this would be done selecting Manage along the bottom and then Billing at the top of the manage page. On the website select Bills and Payments from the banner along the top.
