Possible scam call

My partner has just received a call from an alleged EE number calling from Durham. The call was to say they can give a discount of 30% on the monthly bill.  The caller spoke with a foreign accent and very broken English. When my partner asked why they hadn’t contacted me, as I’m the account holder, he asked for my details.

Hi @Belburn78

As @Chris_B mentioned, we wouldn't call to offer a discount, especially if they weren't speaking to the account holder.

If you do receive any scam calls you can report it by completing our Report a scam or nuisance call form. The report goes to our partner Hiya, who’ll use it to improve call protection in the future.

When asked why he hadn’t called the account holder he then asked for the details of the account holders, which we didn’t pass on and hung up.  This is the number they called on.
