Anyone used a Wavlink AC1200 4G here?

Evening,

I got a Wavlink AC1200 4G from Amazon the other day, hoped it would just be just a case of plug in SIM and go - far from it. I've spent several hours trying to get this to work. Spoke with EE support who gave me the APN details which filled in some more lines on the web interface that had previously been - - - but I'm still unable to get an IP4 address so no Internet.

Any ideas please? Cheers

@Maggers2020 : What APN/Profile have you got to now?

Is the EE SIM on contract or PAYG?

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

Good morning, it's a contract and I've got tonnes of data available to use. Not that I'm able to get a connection to begin with of course!

Good Morning all,

Having spoken to Wavlink tech support I needed to apply a firmware upgrade which then made it all work. Not ideal and I was expecting an "out of the box" working solution. I think I;'ll be returning it as I'm not 100% this is what I'm needing. Namely I want to be able to add a cable to the POE injector to be able to feed my laptop via LAN instead of WiFi. If this unit is outside, as its designed to be, and max 50m away (as thats my reel length) the wifi signal will be pony. Effectively I want the 4G speeds that are 50m away in my laptop as if the Wavlink device was next to me - which would be the case if I can work out the LAN setup I'm after.

The POE injector which would be under the desk here with the power supply has two RJ45 ports, one for POE and the other for LAN IN. The Wavlink AC1200 also has two RJ45s on it for POE and LAN. What I'm hoping I can do is use the LAN IN to feed my laptop.

I hope this helps others to be aware of this unit.
