I have a TPlink 4g router that was working perfectly. After a period of none usage (2 weeks) it now does not recognise the SIM. Can anyone help?

I think it could be the APN settings but why would this  have changed…

The SiM is fully active, i have tested it in my iphone.

any help greatly appreciated!

P.S. I have tried eesecure.. it didn’t work!

Hi @klafkowski1

Welcome to the community.

Here are our APN settings. Are you able to use these to get it connected?

Chris

Hi Chris,

Sadly I have already tried all these in every combination and nothing appears to work. The strangest thing is that it worked perfectly for several weeks. The only difference now is that I was in London and I'm now in the Lake district, could the local cellular network be the issue? Frustratingly TpLink seem to offer no support!

Thanks in advance,

David

That could be the problem, @klafkowski1

Are you able to search for the postcode on our coverage checker to see what the estimated coverage is like?

Chris

My Phone which is EE works perfectly as does the PAYG SIM in my phone, so I don't think it's to do with coverage?

Thank you for taking an interest BTW.. much appreciated!

OK, then it's unlikely to be coverage if you're getting a good signal on your other devices, @klafkowski1

If you put the SIM from the router into one of your phones, does the data work OK?

Chris

Yes it works perfectly.. I'd give up but it's just frustrating me that it had been working perfectly!

Yeah, it's definitely a tricky one, @klafkowski1

If you put your phone SIM in the router, does that work?
