5GEE router losing connection overnight

Profile closed

I have  an EE 5G data SIM in a 5GEE router.

Overnight EVERY night the router is disconnected.

It does not reconnect, nor switch to a 4G signal.

Settings are

  • Network search mode: Auto
  • Network mode: Auto (5G/4G)

I am having to restart every morning in order to force reconnection.

I have seen some older posts, but none with a solution.

Nothing on the EE service check page re. overnight works or anything like that.

Any suggestions please?

So disappointing.

I was with you since you were FreeServe dial-up. I only went down down this route when you wanted to up my monthly payment but provide a slower service!

If I get an EE sim from you will the problem persist, and will you fix it if it does? Are you band-sleeping 5G?

David

Can't you get to Check mobile coverage ? It also tells you about network problems in the area & allows to report 1.

What helped me with the same issue was turning off mesh compatible settings and limiting the wifi to either only 2.4ghz or 5ghz, I have no idea how it could've been related but it reduced the disconnections a lot (not fixed completely but MUCH better)
