I bought a 5G Smart Hub a couple of months ago and I am now trying to link this to a MyEE account, but I am being asked for an account number, which I do not have.

To link a mobile device please use the mobile number for the WiFi device you only need the account number for home broadband.

Thanks Leanne for the reply.
I can do so, but then I require a confirmation code sent to the number, however with it being a smart hub I have no way of receiving a text confirmation.

If you connect a device to the WiFi and go to http://192.168.1.1 using the internet browser, and use these details to log in username 'admin' and password 'admin' do you have a text message inbox showing?

@maatteo : Most mobile routers can receive texts. Login to it & look for the SMS Section/Inbox.
