4gee wifi pay as you go

Good afternoon,

Many moons ago, i purchased a ee mobile wifi device as i had no provider at that time who could give me a solid signal, when i moved I cancelled contract, i still have the device and would like to put a pay as you go sim into it to use on the go, is this possible. Also i have tried to order a data only sim on ee site, but keep getting taken to a 404 page?

Have you tried to factory reset the device?

If so, it could be the WiFi device has developed a fault and is now outside of warranty.

Can you try the below steps to see if this works for you. 

1. Remove the bumper to uncover the Reset button.
2. Using a paperclip or pen, press and hold the Reset button for approximately 5 seconds.
3. The device will restart automatically

No joy unfortunately, device must be faulty. Do you know if EE will bring back payg device?, I can buy via eBay or Argos, but prefer to buy direct from EE, only use it for access to medical notes when travelling, so do not need contract.
