Hi,
our line speeds when moving into our house only supported max 9mb down and barely 1mb up. Invested in the 5gee option as we have good 4g signals and some 5g. The router sits mainly on 4g signal and we get around 90-100mb down and 30ish up. Its located in front of a window inside and in line of site to the local mast. Checked the nearest one with the mobile app "opensignal".
couple of issues i have
1) sometimes and more frequently lately, i have to reset the device due to the speed dropping to about 1-2mb down. Signal seems fine, the stats seems the same db etc and it shows 4g full bars. Either soft or hard reset cures it for another day or two.
2) devices seem to drop off wifi all the time and things such as streaming tv are terrible - tv's for example get a wifi signal with a "!"randomly then 2 min later its fine again. Its running the 2.4 and 5ghz option and its the same whether i use tplink powerline adapters or not. If you look at the connected devices it seems to be very mixed up as to which devices are ethernet or 2.4 or 5ghz but the "connected" duration for devices resets to 0 and isn't a pattern such as all 2.4 or 5ghz or ethernet devices...
help .. never had a router as troublesome as this before that you cant even put your own DNS servers in to try troubleshoot etc..
Wired devices do seem ok for what i can tell. Ive tried disabling 2,4 / 5ghz in turn and its made no difference. there isnt any other wifi signals anywhere near as we live in a rural location .

Hi @Farmer99
Thanks for coming to the community.
If you select 'Check Status' on the EE Coverage & Network Status Checker, do we have any signal problems reported?
If not, do you have any other EE device that also has signal drop at the same time?
Thanks 🙂
Leanne.

soon as I reboot it, it will go back to normal

after reset - upload still poor

reason speeds this time arent quite normal as its found a weak 5g signal - it will drop to a better 4g signal soon

I've disabled the 5ghz wirless and running it today to see if its more stable.
