4gee wifi mobile hub cannot log into email

My EE 4GEE WIFI Mobile Hub is only a back-up. I am on a £5 monthly 30-day package.  I try to go in and send a couple texts every month. I ran out of credit (oops forgot) in July so package expired. I just topped up and I am on package again.  I am  on Router = 192.168.1.1 .

When I am connected on this page = http://192.168.1.1/index.html there are 4 links.  I am able to click on one link which takes me to = http://add-on.ee.co.uk/status where I can see my data etc usage.

When I try to click on other links current reading =

${ids_orange_account_des} ${ids_orange_account}${ids_oran       this one I think is message icon (takes me to admin/PW)

${ids_orange_sms_des} ${ids_orange_click} ${ids_orange_login}       this one has a conversation icon

${ids_orange_settings_des} ${ids_orange_login_here}      this one has cog wheel setting icon

${ids_orange_usage_des} ${ids_orange_click}.${ids_orange      usage icon - the only one that works

This site can’t be reached

my.ee.co.uk’s server IP address could not be found.

Try:

ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED

I ran conn disgnostics and report reads everything is good.  I am on chrome book.  Why first 3 links is not working?

thanks

Those 4 links should take you to:

  1. Login to router & then access your text messages. You said you sent some texts, so this must be working.
  2. Login to MyEE.
  3. Login to router & access its settings in general.
  4. Check your status @ http://add-on.ee.co.uk/status as you have seen.

If any are not working the device you are using is not connected to the router.

The (1) link for sending text - previously worked back in the summer, April, May and June

The (2) Log into my EE - previously worked even tho I never did log in becos I never needed to

The (3) link - previously worked but I never needed  any change to settings so never went in

Link 4, only this one is working becos I clicked on in and it took me to status usage screen. I am connected becos I can see my usage data depleting.

All 4 links read like they are garbled like how I listed in my posting. None of them read as

"Login to router & then access your text messages" ......

"Login to MyEE" .....

"Login to router" ......

"Check your status "

I will try again now

Thank you. If I factory re-set, do I need to be concern about my password to connect my wifi? It it does restore all the links on that home page, what about my password and user ID to log into my message center?

It restores pwds & SSIDs to what it came with & as written on the label, probably under the battery cover.

Thanks! You're welcome 🙂 ! Glad I could be of assistance & trust it is now sorted.

Hello again.

I am back after a week.  I could not get my WIFI hub to work and I find that its cumbersome and stressful trying to get Customer Service. Bummer, eh - they dont offer chat for PAYG customer - I have to call in and get in queue.  I decided that EE is not for me.

I called Customer Service to get a refund. Apparently I have to request for my PAC number to get a refund becos I will need it to move to another provider. Well, I dont want to move to another provider becos its a SIM for my WIFI. They tell me if I dont move the phone number to another provider, I cannot canx my SIM and I will stay with EE, like forever.

They used to tell me if my phone number is not active for more than 6-9 months they will disconnect my number which was what happened earlier last year and I had to get a new SIM.

So I dont want to stay with EE.  I dont want to move to new provider. I got no money in credit in my account. How do I get this phone number cancelled.

-cindy

Just cut the SIM up & bin it.
