4G Broadband router: received speeds down over time from 20mbps to now <3mbps!?!

We have a broadband router with an EE unlimited data SIM (no cabled internet here) which was consistently receiving around 20mbps, used for working from home, streaming and family iPads. Over the last year this has steadily decreased. We changed the router, fitted a high gain outdoor aerial ... no change, just steadily decreasing speeds no matter what we tried. We're now at less than 3mbps which is now completely useless.

No changes to local masts, signal strength remains the same. Router reset, firmware updated etc etc etc.

The only thing I can see on the account is occasional "stacked data" (?).

Any ideas?? Time to change provider? Please help - on a Scottish Island and internet access is vital to us here!!! 😞
