i recently ordered and received the nintendo switch 2 bundle with 24 months switch online, express memory card and donkey kong game

after setting up the console and signing in went to use the code cards given, but receive an error after typing stating the codes have already been used,

tried ringing 150 didn’t realise it was hard these days to actually talk to someone and not have to press a ton of different numbers which still doesn’t get to you to a point of talking

I too have a call back tomorrow afternoon. As I have stated elsewhere, they need to switch to scratchcard vouchers.

Same issue, Finally spoke to someone on the EE gaming team, Apparently, because Nintendo ship them the codes, EE is not responsible

Nintendo say it's on the retailer to issue replacments,

It's an eternal game of pass the buck

Had the same confirmation and EE called me and said go away basically and to contact Nintendo again as it’s their product but EE are happy to charge for what is effectively a non-working product.

I am going to the ombudsman as I just can’t be bothered to deal with EE an their lack of accountability

Hi all,

Apologies for the delay in getting back to you about this.

Can I just confirm if the codes in question come in the box? These come directly from Nintendo, so we wouldn't be able to help you with these, and you would need to reach out to them.

Rach

Hi Rach,

I don't believe mine was in the box it was outside with the game that came with the bundle. I have filed a complaint.  I have also sent the response from Nintendo saying that i need to contact you so you can fix the issue on my behalf.

If i get no resolution i will be reporting you also to trading standards. As i agree you have sold me an item that is not fit for purpose.

Thanks for getting back to me @DJH666.

If you have been sent these physical vouchers then these are from Nintendo. I'd recommend reaching back out to Nintendo support and advising that these are physical vouchers from them, which aren't working, and that we do not provide these.

Rach

Hi Rach,

I'm confused. You have a responsibility to me the purchaser to fix this issue. You are the retailer. I'm sorry but I have been to Nintendo and i have been told you can fix the issue on my behalf. I will not go back to them again. I will wait for my complaint to be looked at and responded to. If this isn't helpful i will take this further.

It is wild to me that you are not taking accountability when my contract is with you not Nintendo or even showing concern about this issue. You are not willing to help your customers.

Absolute nonsense.

You are the vendor therefore tot are responsible for them.

Exposing codes in a box is not secure and they can be intercepted.

I recommend that EE conduct a review into this process and I will be pursuing either compensation or brand new codes.
Sent from my iPhone

They were loose inside the shipping box. Not in the box with the console where they were supposed to be.

Irregardless of the position of the code cards, our contract for goods was with EE, not Nintendo.
