Hi we have moved over from BT to EE. Have gone from 500mbps to 900mbps which one the previous speed we never had any issues. Now the PS5 online gaming is lagging. Engineer came out and reset everything. Have but Ethernet cable into hub. Tried different online games. Still lagging. Spoke to technical team who have said everything is running at the speeds it should. They suggested to speak to the manufacturer of the console. Has anyone done this? If so what was there response?! It’s very annoying as this should be a better speed and no change to service.

Is your PS5 in good range of your Hub, and have you tried testing this with a wired connection like @Christopher_G recommended earlier in the thread?
Which model of Hub are you using here too?

I am currently having the same problem with my son’s PS5. Was working fine before we “upgraded” to EE wifi. As soon as we switched it has been absolutely dreadful! I can only imagine that the router’s EE are supplying just aren’t nowhere good enough?

What worked for me was going into the PlayStation network menu onto network setting of your broadband and change it from 2.5ghz to 5ghz then test your internet speed should be close whatever speed you’re paying for.
Haven’t faced the lagging issue since.
