Absolutely disgusted with EE - Gamecard

So I purchased the Xbox console add on which included a £150 gamecard, a 24 month live subscription & the console, firstly I had to chase the subscription that finally came then I've waited over 3 weeks & numerous calls to ee to finally get the gamecard on Christmas eve this was going to be a present for my son. I go to redeem the gamecard & it's got zero credit on it. I'm furious not only could they have given it me weeks ago when I was asking but this time they gave it me instantly but now I'm left with no way to contact anyone before Christmas day tomorrow I'm also going to have to chaser it with black hawk network who are notorious for not getting back to you. I'LL NEVER USE EE AGAIN ONCE MY CONTRACT IS UP!

It’s been over a month Rachel, and complaints forms and supposed escalation form are pointless. I’m very sorry but that is a fact!!

I have been in contact with BBC One’s Rip Off Britain. I found a number online for their WhatsApp contact group. The number is  +44 330 678 1321 anyone who is experiencing the same problems should all contact that number and tell them your experiences.

They don’t sort anything though they just ghost you, I put in a complaint form on the 21st November.

reply on 22/11/24

Thank you for your email.I am sorry to hear that the card is not as expected

I see the team have already provided the email address to contact for support, so apologies if a reply is yet to be received.

This has been escalated internally through EE Store to request an update for you, as soon as possible.Once I have any information I will let you know.

Thanks

i have emailed “Gillian” a further three times and Never heard anything back.

it’s a joke.

What’s more EE sold is these packages why are we as customers being forced to contact third party companies who literally are scamming us and just don’t care and fob you off at every turn.

you have a duty of care to your customers. This is an absolute outrage to be honest.

I've had a £50 game card from EE with a Nintendo Switch I took out this week.

Tried to redeem it and it's just coming up with this error. Did a quick Google and came up with this thread.

Has anyone managed to sort this before I ring them?

Hey there @jennatheraven, welcome to the EE Community!

If you haven't already, can you please give this a try from a different device or browser?

It's always worth giving this a shot in case there's anything with your bowser settings that the website is disagreeing with.

Expect a nightmare now mate. I’m still waiting for my £150 Playstaion voucher that was part of the bundle I ordered in November. EE say you have to fill in form and email an outside firm called BHN or Black Hawk Network and that company do not care, they won’t reply to you and if you ring them they deny any knowledge of EE game cards. They have sent me 2 codes so far, one had Zero credit on it and the other which I received on Tuesday I think, was worth £70, less than half the value. I contacted EE again and yesterday I was sent out another code, the only problem is, it’s the exact same code as the one sent to me on Tuesday, with the exact same PIN and the exact same value. They think we are stupid and the fact that they are still offering these deals to people, when they know the problems and upset they are causing customers goes to show they just dont give a sh*t!!! As I I have said in past posts on this forum, I’ve already been in contact with BBC1’s Rip Off Britain and I am currently looking for a good solicitor for legal advice. I’d just like to say as well, EE didn’t faulter and stall in taking their money out my bank for services unrendered and goods incomplete!!!

I have had a similar but somewhat baffling issue.

I received the gamecard code for £150, but upon redemption it only had £112.51 on it. A really random amount. Fortunately I cashed in 100 of it immediately on xbox credit, leaving me with £12.51. That was until I got it escalated via ee. I received a text with the same voucher code and pin and now it is a big fat zero.

I've escalated again, had previously emailed the company too and it's now over a month to get this sorted. Not heard a thing.

Considering it's a voucher code, it shouldn't take this long. EE need to take control of this and compensate us what we are missing and for the hours wasted on the phone, emailing etc over a festive period that's supposed to be fun!
