Absolute disgrace

I have never, ever had to go through anything as frustrating and disgraceful as I have this week when trying to give a company money as I have done with EE this last week. 

I placed an order for their xbox bundle on Monday expecting that it would be delivered shortly, I received an order confirmation email complete with order number (unsure what the point of this number is as it doesn't work to track an order) -- I proceed to receive no updates through to Tuesday so get in contact with the help desk through my phone to be told that my order will arrive on Wednesday. Great! 

Not great. Wednesday rolls around. Still no communication from DPD. Still nothing from EE other than my initial confirmation. I decide that I will trust the help desk employee and give it another day. Still nothing. 

I wake up on Thursday and call into their help line this time (150) and spend an  hour being on hold passed from one team to another before finally having it confirmed that my initial order did not go through and that now they've actually ensured that it has gone through! That I can expect my bundle tomorrow and everything has been sorted.

Come Friday - no message from DPD. No follow up at all. No sign that my order is going to be delivered. I call up again (another 15-30 minute wait) to be told that my order is cancelled, but they can't get all of the context because they're not in digital sales, and that they cannot put me through to digital sales because they're too busy. 

So a whole working week later, I still have no idea where my order is, I still have no idea what's going on and I still don't have my xbox.

Additionally not the first time I've had issues with EE specifically. When upgrading my contract last year, I had someone on their 'help' desk cancel my contract whilst I was trying to upgrade!

I posted on another page, I had the same problem, I ordered a Samsung 4K tv, they took the down payment.

And said delivery 1 - 3 working days, and being on holiday I thought that was an ideal.

Got the thank you for your order letter  and a number which as you said doesn’t work on tracking.

Waited until yesterday, then after phoning 2 different numbers, finally ended up at the right place. And the sales team said the order hadn’t gone through, so they re-ordered it from their end and apparently the order went through correctly. 

But I still haven’t received a new order confirmation letter, or text message.

@robh661 you should call them, I've just been told that my item was / is out of stock. I've now had to agree to a worse value proposition because they do not do the bundle I want with a black xbox. 

Thankfully I have now had it sorted, but it's far too difficult to find this all out and the communication is terrible up until you get in touch with them directly.
