Unable to delete package from basket

Like others when I go to the basket to remove a package there is no bin or 'remove from basket' option.

If you click the 'edit' button, does the icon to remove?

When I clicked on edit it took me to the page that asks about income - with no option to delete there.  I don't know if it times out eventually but I have logged in about 20 hours later and thankfully the basket is now empty. It is annoying that the problem exists and has been reported by quite a few people.
