Looking for help on the website apparently you sometimes get addressed by the name Notset. I have deduced that this is due to an Optional name not being set in a profile. it does appear that some of the the web pages are taking this optional field not being set quite literally.
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

The "Notset Notset" issue is typically due to the EE ID Personal Details not being populated correctly. This is separate to the "nickname" feature, which doesn't modify the personal details but is just a feature to allow both the app and sometimes EE staff to address you to your preference. Setting a nickname will fix it visually from your side, but the personal details will likely continue showing a first and last name of "Notset" on the backend that is visible to EE when accessing your account.
The EE ID basically sits on top of the billing accounts, aggregating them and providing the user interface for managing the accounts.
The individual billing accounts don't always pass the Personal Details through into the EE ID and this issue can occur depending on what method was used to convert it from a Legacy MyEE account or how the EE ID was set it up initially.
Nothing the customer can do to fix this on their end I don't believe, someone at EE needs to amend the EE ID First and Last Name after passing security.
Hopefully shouldn't have the same burden of proof as changing Billing Account personal details however.
