Notification after update

Since updating the iPhone app, it’s showing I have 1 notification and I can’t clear it? I’ve tried looking at all sections of the app to see if there’s something I’ve to action, but it’s still there and I can’t clear it. Anybody else have/had this problem?

Adding myself to this list, this notification is really annoying now. When will this be fixed? It’s been 2 months since the first report on this thread, that’s a shocking time for a turn around.

Has this been fixed now as I’m having the same problem, got told a month ago it was going to be fixed within 2 days but there we are 2 months on ?

Same issue here.

All started when I used the in-app chatbot. App is up to date, I have restarted the phone, reinstalled the app and still cannot clear unless I turn badges off for My EE.

I’ve found that when I ‘Resolve the conversation’ and tap ‘No’ in response to the survey, a new chat begins before I can close the app. I wonder if it’s that…

Yes it's the same journey for me via chat and not being able to resolve the conversation that ended me up in this mess. Have had to turn notifications off completely now.

Can we have an update please? This problem has now been apparent for a couple of months. There are many customers reporting it and likely very many more who aren’t. We all have encountered the problem following use of the online chat. Surely this isn’t rocket science to fix. It’s just an annoying notification notice that always follows an online chat. Please update us when this will be fixed.

The My EE app team are aware of the problem and are working to fix it on an update in the near future.

Thanks Chris. Appreciate you coming back to us - however it would be good to know in which sprint, how long then to test and release? This is likely only to be a setting in the iOS SDK.

It seems to be triggered by it thinking there is a live chat open when there isn't. It affects many versions of iOS and many versions of iPhones. If your devs need any more info or testing in the wild, I am sure we can help as a community. Or copy me in on the defect ticket and I will update it. (that last part is a joke but seriously your teams must have headroom for defects and its priority must be known by now - so please share more 🙂 )

This isn’t helpful. How many times do we have to be told that it’s being worked on? What time frame are they looking at? It need to be expanded on.
It’s getting ridiculous and I’m sure majority of people are sick of being fobbed off with “it’s being worked on”…

It is a joke, there was a recent update and it still has not rectified the issue. No issues with the last version before the last two updates.

Why should I have to turn my notifications off for the app when it should appear if I don’t have a notification on my iPhone. I am running the latest software, deleted and reinstalled the app, previously reported it several times all to no avail.

Furthermore, I cannot delete any conversations I have had in the chat and I cannot press resolve when communicating to somebody via the chat.

Even being able to do this won’t work. I can end conversations and also resolve . I did this and once cleared it automatically creates a new one saying how can I help . Which as a result leave a 1 in the notification bubble . Been onto support again and they ask me to clear the safari cache , did that and although the number on the notification bubble went down I think that was a coincidence as still didn’t resolve the issue . Seems a complete mess , can’t be hard to reverse something they did 2 updates ago until they know what the issue is. Absolute pain in the back side .
