EE eMail Says BB Bill Ready but Can't Read it With MyEE under FireFox

my preferred browser for this purpose. However I can with Chrome but this is awkward for me as I keep Chrome logged into on this Community a/c so as to contribute here & help users. I like to keep my Community work separate from my own work. It's a chore for me to keep logging out of my Community a/c to get to my BB a/c & back again.

This is what I see on FF when I login to my BB a/c:Capture.JPG

but I have no Mobile no. to add & nowhere else to go. "Home" brings me back to same.

It's similar for my EE Mobile a/c on FF.

This all worked fine on the old MyEE. So can you fix the new MyEE to work on FF?

MyEE now appears to work on FF for both BB & mobile. So I'll close this assuming it's been fixed.

The only thing missing from mobile MyEE is the "A/C Settings" page. So you can't get your PUKs directly but there is a dodge I discovered, Almost Impossible to Get PUK from MyEE , allowing you to discover your PUK in a non-obvious way.

Hi @XRaySpeX

I've said many times before EE web/app developers only use Edge and disregard all other browsers.

I use Chrome in Desktop mode which helps. Try using desktop mode.

Thanks

I would agree. To pretend to be a professional programmer (as I assume the website developers claim to be) and not do the simplest of testing for system variations is the worst kind of laziness. It is high time that so called system developers  are required to adhere to the proper European or British standards  for software production. Gone are the days of Microsoft et al where 'send it out as it is and let the community find the bugs for us' was the prevailing attitude.

Hi @JMoly @XRaySpeX

Thanks for coming here and letting us know.

To get this reported, please contact our broadband care team who will be raise a support ticket if your unable to view your account using Firefox.

Thank you.

Leanne.

Thank you for raising this. The problem is not that Firefox cannot access the account; the problem is that it will display anomalous information sometimes e.g. clicking on itemised data usage on my past visits has resulted in results which, at best show a blank screen that can be restored by the back button and, at worst  brought up a "we have logged you out" message that meant I had to log back in again.

I have been involved in software development as part of my job before I retired, and, on every course I attended that included html, the need to test with different browsers was paramount. These days there are formal standards and methods ( e.g.  ISO/IEC/IEEE 90003) that are required for software compliance when it will be used in a mission critical situation. Web developers tend to assume that "Everyone uses Microsoft" and forget that chrome, firefox, safari, opera etc. exist even though android ( Google's port of Linux) outsells microsoft by a country mile.

At last, today, both my Mobile user & my BB user are working on FF. Somebody's done something to MyEE to apply Quality Control to it & make it FF-compliant 🙂 , haven't they?

I hope this not a flash in the pan. I'll keep my eye on it & report back.
